Your Battery RPLATE has a sensor in it that lets it know when it isn't touching that bracket and it will display "DETACHED PLATE" if removed from your car, preventing theft and unauthorized use. Only you, the owner, can reactivate the plate.
Once you put bracket and plate together, the "DETACHED PLATE" message should go away, allowing you to Authorize and update your plate through the Reviver app.

Here's a short video that takes you through the process.
If after having installed the RPLATE the "DETACHED PLATE" message is present and you have not uninstalled the RPLATE from your vehicle, it could mean that the sensor isn't making solid enough contact with the mounting bracket.
In this case, you will want to remove the RPLATE and first check that the metal bracket isn't bent, then you can reinstall the RPLATE and ensure the mounting screws are tightened all the way. Once installed securely, you can then Authorize through the Reviver app and the "DETACHED PLATE" message should clear.
