How do I replace the battery in my RPlate?

Under normal driving conditions, your RPlate Battery should last for 3 to 5 years. To replace it with a new one (which you can order by reaching out to our support team), remove your RPlate from your car and either download this PDF or follow the instructions below:

Find the small L-shaped tool that was included with your plate, and then flip over your plate.
Unscrew (counter-clockwise) the three small screws holding the metal battery cover in place and place them aside.
Carefully remove the cover, under which you will see the battery.
Now gently flip over the battery to access the battery connection cable as shown on the left side of the image here.
While you use one hand to push down (or pinch) the latch release of the black plastic connector...
Hold the white side of the battery connector with your other hand. With   the black latch release pinched between  your fingers, gently pull apart the black  and white connectors.
Congrats! With the battery disconnected, you can now reverse the process to install a new battery.  And as always, if you have any questions, please let us know!
